  Hôtel très bien situé, à quelques pas de la place st marc. personnel de l'hôtel très accueillant et très serviable. excellent petit déjeuner. tout pour passer un excellent séjour à venise.

  The hotel location is very good with reasonable room rate. we had delicious breakfast not inside our hotel but at hotel savoia & jolanda (a 4-star hotel) in our hotel vicinity. one negative comment is that we have not told that the reception counter was placed at another hotel - hotel savoia & jolanda. so, we had to wait at front door of hotel villa igea until other hotel guests turned up and told us the right place for check-in.

  Because the hotel was a sister of a 4 star hotel, we received 4 star service. the hotel was right on the grand canal. the complimentary breakfast was like no other. huge selection of items and sitting at outside patio on the canal was quite a way to start the day!

  Not a good experience at all!! villa igea is no longer a real hotel! the building has no reception, no check in desk, no breakfast room and worst, none respect for their costumers! the check in and breakfast has to be taken in the nearby hotel savoia e jolanda and we had a real problem with the room and the staff. when we arrived at the hotel we found our room with a 30ºc temperature!! the excuse was that there was a little problem with the air-conditioning. 48h latter (when we here leaving) the room temperature had only decreasing to the 26ºc, even if all the 48h the air-conditioning had run at full speed!! the worst was that we were offered to change the room with the excuse that the problem would be resolved! but there hasn't the case, as in all the annex bulding (were the once villa igea hotel opperated) had a real problem with the ac and had no conditions to lodge their costumers!! bad conditions and worst service by an inappropriate staff who told us all the excuses/lies in the book!! not recomended!

  Super hotel , petit déjeuner parfait face à la lagune et au soleil le jus d'orange frais était un délice et la petite terrassse de l'hotel bien agréable

  + hôtel plutôt élégant et très bien situé, bénéficiant du calme de la place san zacarria quoiqu'à trente mètres de l'arrivée du vaporetto et à 10 minutes de st marc. chambre de bonne dimension ("superior"), bien équipée, confortable. déjeuner abondant et varié. - jeunes réceptionnistes présents mais passifs et peu à même de trouver une solution appropriée (dans notre cas, le problème étant un départ pour l'aéroport au moment d'une crue de la lagune): heureusement, un réceptionniste de l'hôtel "frère", le jolanda, plus expérimenté et informé, nous a gentiment et efficacement aidé. globalement, un excellent séjour.

  Overall my personal experience on a 4 night stay was excellent. however, i also booked another room for a friend and although the booking was confirmed by e-mail, when she arrived there wasn't a room for her on the first night. the hotel did quickly make arrangements to stay at another hotel almost next door for the first night and then she moved to villa igea for the last 2 nights. however, it did slightly spoil our experience and inconvenienced her. it is only fair to say that villa igea also have her a reduction on the cost of her stay.

  Walls were very thin. room was next to housekeeping closet which for most of the night was being accessed (it sounded like tons of trash and plastic bags were being taken out and thrown by my door between 2am and 7am)

  Il faut savoir qu'après 20 h il n'y a plus personne à la réception de villa igea, il faut aller à l'autre hôtel au coin de la rue pour être accueilli. pas d'indication sur la porte...

  The hotel was in a great location in venice. a very short walk from the water bus that brought us from the airport. the room was very small, but for an in-town hotel, not surprising. it was very clean, quiet and well maintained.

  Per una camera a questo prezzo mancava una poltrona e un po piu di posto per scrivere. il tavolo piccolo e ingombrato dalla televisione. d'altra parte, il prezzo meriterebbe una vasca da bagno con doccia integrata, qualcosa per appendere i vestiti nel bagno, e una tavoletta per appogiare le cose da toilette.
